Terms & Conditions for Pet Relocation Services

1. Introduction

 

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Skyedge Informatics Private Limited (“Company”) under the brand name Petscort India (“Petscort”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By engaging our services, the Client/Owner (“you”, “your”) agrees to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

 

Our services include coordination, handling, documentation, and transportation of pets via Rail, Road, and Air, within India and internationally.

2. General Terms Applicable to All Services

 

2.1 Pet Health & Documentation

• The owner is responsible for ensuring that the pet is fit to travel, and all vaccinations, health certificates, and documents are current and valid.

• The Company reserves the right to decline transport if a pet appears unfit, aggressive, or in distress.

• For international relocations, the owner must provide all import/export, microchip, and quarantine clearances as required by destination authorities.

 

2.2 Owner Responsibility

• All information provided by the owner must be accurate and complete.

• The owner must ensure the pet is identified correctly (microchip, tag, etc.) and secured in a suitable travel crate approved for the selected mode.

• Any misrepresentation, incomplete documentation, or delay caused by the owner shall not be the Company’s liability.

 

2.3 Risk, Liability & Insurance

• While every reasonable measure is taken for pet safety and comfort, transport involves inherent risk, especially due to temperature changes, stress, or transit delays.

• The Company is not liable for natural causes, illness, injury, or death of the pet during transit, unless proven due to gross negligence.

• Optional insurance may be availed by the owner at their discretion and cost. In absence of such coverage, the owner assumes full risk.

• Liability, if established, shall be limited to the total amount paid for the service.

 

2.4 Delays & Force Majeure

 

The Company shall not be held responsible for delays or cancellations caused by:

• Airline, rail, or road carrier disruptions

• Weather, strikes, technical failures, or governmental restrictions

• Acts of God or other circumstances beyond our control

 

In such cases, reasonable assistance shall be provided, but no refunds or compensation are guaranteed.

 

2.5 Payment Terms

• Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of advance payment only.

• Balances must be cleared before final handover, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Payments once made are non-refundable, except where expressly stated.

 

2.6 Confidentiality & Privacy

 

The Company respects client privacy. Personal information and documents shall be used solely for service execution and legal compliance, not for any unrelated commercial purpose.

3. Mode-Specific Terms

 

3.1 Rail Travel

• Rail bookings are subject to Indian Railways regulations and availability.

• Certain routes or classes may not permit live animal carriage.

• The Company coordinates documentation, booking, and handling, but rail schedule adherence is outside our control.

• Feeding, walking, and handling at transit points are carried out with utmost care, though stress-related reactions are possible.

 

3.2 Road Travel

• Vehicles used for pet relocation are air-conditioned or ventilated.

• The petscorts/handler(s) ensures adequate breaks for hydration and comfort.

• The Company is not responsible for any traffic delays, accidents, or mechanical issues arising during road transport.

• Owners must declare if their pet requires special handling, medication, or supervision prior to booking.

 

3.3 Air Travel

• Air shipments are arranged in accordance with IATA Live Animal Regulations and airline-specific guidelines.

• The Company assists with flight booking, crate compliance, veterinary and documentation checks.

• Airlines reserve full discretion to delay or deny boarding due to weather, aircraft type, or pet condition.

• In cargo mode, the airline is the primary carrier and bears liability as per the Air Carriage Act and related rules.

4. Domestic & International Travel

 

4.1 Domestic Travel

• For domestic movements, valid vaccination certificates and health fitness certificates are mandatory.

• Certain states may impose additional requirements; the owner must comply accordingly.

 

4.2 International Travel

• The owner is solely responsible for obtaining all export, import, and quarantine clearances.

• Petscort provides assistance and coordination but cannot be held responsible for delays, denial, or quarantine actions by foreign/govt authorities.

• The owner must bear all costs related to customs, duties, quarantine, or boarding due to such delays.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Cancellation before booking confirmation: Full refund (excluding administrative fees).

• Cancellation after booking confirmation but before execution: Up to 50% refund at Company’s discretion.

• Cancellation after service commencement: No refund applicable.

• In the event of unavoidable cancellation by the Company, a full or partial refund shall be processed based on actual costs incurred.

6. Indemnity

 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skyedge Informatics Pvt. Ltd., its directors, staff, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of:

• Misrepresentation of pet condition or documentation,

• Any act, omission, or negligence by the owner,

• Any loss or injury caused by the pet to property or persons.

7. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

 

These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi, India. Parties shall attempt amicable resolution before approaching legal recourse.

8. Acceptance

 

By engaging Petscort India Services, the owner acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all the above Terms and Conditions.
